Dr. Epner joined North County Radiology in 2007. He is a two year fellowship trained Neuroradiologist and has a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology.   In addition to specializing in imaging of the brain, spine, and neck, Dr. Epner also has special interest in MRI imaging of the entire body and non-invasive imaging of the blood vessels with Magnetic Resonance Angiography and CT Angiography, including Cardiac CT Angiography. 

Dr. Epner was raised in Ohio and completed his undergraduate degree at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Integrated Life Sciences BS/MD program. He attended New York University School of Medicine for his medical degree. His internship was fulfilled at Overlook Hospital/Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in Summit, New Jersey. He went to Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York for Residency and University of Southern California in Los Angeles for his Neuroradiology Fellowship. Dr. Epner is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.  He enjoys tennis, biking, skiing and spending time with his wife and two children.
